About Burton Memorial Hall
Standing in the middle of Burton-in-Kendal, the Memorial Hall is a popular venue for a variety of clubs, social activities and entertainment. It has level access and a car park to the front, and benefits from disabled facilities, babychange, hyperfast B4RN WiFi. It comprises a large main hall with a sprung dance floor, a raised stage at one end and a small kitchen at the other; a carpeted meeting room (Reception Room) with newly modernised kitchen; a smaller uncarpeted meeting room (Club Room) with tea/coffee making facilities. Large and small tables and chairs are available. The main hall has optional side lights for social events, and high-level, national competition standard table tennis lights.
The Hall is on the 555/556 bus route between Lancaster and Kendal/Windermere/Ambleside/Keswick (less than 5 mins walk to bus stop) and less than 5 miles from junctions 35 and 36 of the M6. Carnforth railway station is less than 5 miles away, and Oxenholme and Lancaster stations on the West Coast Main Line are 12 miles to the north and south respectively. The Hall is close to the Lake District, Morecambe Bay and the North Pennines.
