The Engine Room

We celebrated my daughter’s 1st birthday here and also my son’s 1st birthday a few years ago, and both experiences were wonderful. The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The venue itself is very spacious and spotless, which made it perfect for hosting family and friends. I would definitely recommend this venue to others looking for a great place to celebrate a special occasion.

So I have recently attended and event at the engine room which inspired me to book it for my daughters 1st birthday. I got there at 5pm the time my booking is supposed to start however was shocked when I noticed all the lights were switched off and the doors were closed. Of course at this point I’m panicking because the guests would be arriving at 6 I called the venue quite a few times but received no replies I then searched for another number on the emails and after a few rings someone finally picked up the phone (17:17) and said they would arrive in 5mins (17:30). We then had to rush and set up however it all turned out so amazing and all the guests loved the venues only down side is the man who opened the venue for us I believe his name was Andrew was very rude to us when we were leaving which wasn’t nice and did leave a bad end to the night!

We very rarely received anything but 5 star reviews from customers as you will see if you review the past 7 years reviews of The Engine Room. We booked the small hall for a bridal shower. The space was great, the hall was the perfect size for our intimate event and we also had access to the outdoor space which was a great help on the day. We were also able to use the chairs and tables at the hall, which helped us to save some £££££. The staff were helpful and were always willing to assist in any way they could. Thank you to Andrew J for providing such a great and smooth booking service for the hall. Amazing experience, really enjoyed the time at venue it was booked for my daughters 3rd birthday and was really convenient with space the music system and kitchen etc. I would ceratinly advise this place for future events.

Booked the main hall for our daughters 1st birthday and it was excellent. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and were very understanding when the bouncy castle wasn’t collected on time even with another party due to start. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent venue. The main hall was the perfect size for our daughter's birthday party, including bouncy castle, soft play items and roughly forty guests! Great price for local residents, too!

We used the meeting room for a Sports Massage Diploma training session. Everything went smoothly from viewing the space, booking and confirmation. The room was ready as required on the day and everyone we met from the Engine room was friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Highly Recommended! My daughter held her baby shower here in the small hall and it was such a good space. Bright airy windows with outdoor space if needed. Enough space to dance, eat, sit, and move around. From our first enquiry, Andrew (AJ) was the most polite and accommodating person, and always answering our questions. We left behind my daughter’s makeup bag which she can’t live without. AJ went out of his way to find it and keep it safely for me until I could return for it. We will always use this space when needed from now on. Thank you AJ.

This is the second occasion we have used this venue as the first time we were not disappointed. Lovely bright, helpful staff and spacious. I will be using again!

A reasonably priced , clean, airy, beautiful and simply decorated hall. Plenty of natural light pours into the room through the surrounding glass. Staff were friendly and helpful; we had difficulty in setting up our music system, but they helped us get it working. We hired the room for our Father's funeral reception and had no regrets. Many of our guests commented on the decor or the room. Only drawbacks was lack of parking facilities, even though the parking attendant did come and remind our guests to ensure they had the adequate parking tickets. It could do with another toilet, only 1 available that I saw. No problem recommending this venue to anyone looking for somewhere to hold an event.

Thanks for your lovely review. We have in total TEN toilets at The Engine Room - four mens, four ladies and two disabled toilets with baby changing facilities. Apologies that you only seem to have noticed the disabled one opposite the Main Hall. We will ensure we point out the other nine to guests in future! Parking opposite the venue is normally adequate for about 30 cars though we do encourage people where possible to use public transport as Tottenham Hale is just minutes away. The venue space was brilliant (Main hall). Bright, lovely decor, great acoustics, varied lighting options, sound system/PA, wireless mics, good proximity to public transport connections. Great venue for the type of event (community documentary screening). The staff were tremendously helpful, friendly and supportive. Would definitely recommend it!

In regards to booking and adminstration, the experience not so great. I booked the main hall for an event, but was later on told there was an oversight and the room was not available. This put a huge strain on my event. I was offered the small hall which is a big difference in size, but had no choice but to use it as it was too late for an alternative. On the day of the event we experienced some technical difficulties with the TV, so just ensure you check everything works as soon as you arrive. The venue itself is amazing, I've previously used the main hall too, so both rooms are nice depending on what you need them for. My first experience here was really good, this time round it was a bit stressful. I would suggest calling to book rather than book online!

We reached out to the Engine Room to hold a Women's conference amongst other venues. Andrew was so helpful and accommodating to help find a date that would work for us. We arranged a viewing to look at the venue in person and immediately decided that this was what we needed. The premises were clean and had the perfect space and lighting. On the day help was on hand to support us when we needed and have since rebooked for another date. Love this space and so easy for people to access. Thanks to both Andrews at the Engine Room

We booked the main hall for a children’s birthday party. The hall is spacious and has lots of natural light. There is use of a new kitchen and toilets and the hall has good access to parking and the tube. All the staff at the Engine Room were incredibly helpful and accommodating from start to finish. The facilities are fantastic and of a high specification. We would definately book again and recommend. Excellent value for money!

Thank you so much for your hospitality! It was easy to find with the helpful instructions sent across ahead of time, and a nice modern building with lots of light created a good atmosphere. The one slight issue was the acoustics of the room, but that couldn't really be helped. Overall, a really positive experience with great facilities.

The Engine room is a very clean well kept space I have been there previously so I knew what to expect Andrew was great happy to help there was no fuss even when things changed for me unexpected they still found a solution for us & Farther Andrew was great on the day very helpful I would definitely recommend the Engine room to my family & friends.

The Engine Room is a fabulous venue for a community event. The space itself is bright and welcoming with beautiful artwork. It has all the equipment needed for sight and sound. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating, everything from putting up tables and chairs, to answering numerous questions and going out of their way to assist.

The main hall was the perfect venue for my first baby shower! The wall art was beautifully unique and was a nice feature for the event. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean and well stocked (kitchen, bathrooms). I would definitely use this place again and recommend it to people I know.

Wheely Tots hired the Small Hall at the Engine Rooms at short notice. Andrew was very helpful and accommodating. The room is light and airy and the WiFi and screen made our meeting very straightforward. Would definitely recommend the venue. It’s a good location close to Tottenham Hale station with lots of cycle racks and great cafe on site.

The Engine Room is an incredible venue and Andrew was so helpful on the day and in the run up to our event. All of our participants had a great experience and the food ordered from the café next door was simply delicious. my AFK will most definitely use this venue for future events

Haringey Welcome loves the Engine Room! This was our second event to be held there and the space really works for us as it is a genuine and welcoming community hub with excellent facilities, helpful staff who go the extra mile, and a really beautiful and inspiring main hall. This time round we had a complicated programme with several changeovers including a mix of live music and drama, food, stalls, and a panel discussion. It went off really smoothly and everyone had a great time!

Good venue very big with a lot of space, all the staff are friendly and helpful. They kept in contact with me the upcoming weeks prior to the event. Was easy to set up and had a lot of help in regards to doing so.

I hired this hall for my sons birthday party, it was such a beautiful hall, very clean, spacious and was fully equipped with everything we needed and great value for money. HIGHKY RECOMMENDED I used this main hall for my networking event and I did not regret it. The hall was big and spacious, the painting brought so much brightness to the room which was amazing. I was met by Father Andrew who assisted me during the set up of the event. with a warm welcoming he showed and helped me find where the chairs and tables were, whether the toilet and fire exist was. helped set up the mic and sound. ensured if there was anything I needed he was there to help which was very reassuring. I would use this venue again, affordable, easy access, great space, heating, lovely environment

The venue is amazing and was brilliant for our team away day. The room had everything we needed and was light and well equipped. We had a brilliant lunch in the cafe and then a great walk in the afternoon followed by an informal communion service in the chapel. The organisation was wonderful and we all really enjoyed the day. One really tiny comment. We couldn't find a bin anywhere in the room to put our rubbish in when we were clearing up.

Brilliant spacious hall, great to use for parties, events, workshops. Suitable for both big and small groups. Staff on sight are super helpful and welcoming. Definitely worth the price!

Lovely space with an equally lovely hosting team.

Held a local charity event here yesterday. The venue and location are excellent. The main room is light and airy and the staff gave our 30 or so local charities a very warm and welcoming reception. Lovely accessible facilities and so close to the tube with parking and cycle racks nearby.

Celebrated our daughters 2nd birthday in the big hall. Very nice new and modern facility. Great facilities with ample furniture available and access to fully equipped kitchen with cutlery and crockery so we could keep thirsty parents hydrated with tea and coffee and hungry children fed ! Great access for guests too - very close to the tube and a car park right outside.

We hired the small hall for a family party with 30 people and had plenty of room for dancing. It is a lovely space with access on to an outside terrace. Good tables and chairs, easy to stack at the end of the evening. Many thanks to Andrew and Tracey for organising what we needed. Strongly recommend it and the price is very reasonable.

I had my 50th birthday party there. Great entertainment system which my guests loved as I could show old photos and play music too. Facilities were excellent with use of tables, chairs an kitchen included and I was extremely impressed with and disabled facilities.

This is a lovely centre. All the people who work there are so helpful and enthusiastic. The facilities are excellent and the environment is warm and friendly. The opening of the cafe next week will be an added attraction. I would recommend it to everyone. I run a weekly group there and it is a pleasure to work there.
