About Colton Village Hall
SPACIOUS, MODERN, WELL EQUIPPED HALL IN CONSERVATION AREA WITH EXTENSIVE GROUNDS AND PARKING
Colton Village Hall is the perfect venue for a wedding, a private party, a meeting or a conference, large or small. It is delightfully situated down its own access drive from the main village road in extensive grounds which now include a 2.25 acre wildflower meadow. There is also a large playing field and a children's playground. There is parking for up to 30 vehicles at the front of the hall and a very large overflow capacity on the playing field. The hall has two function rooms. The main room, which can comfortably seat 160, is ideal for weddings and parties and the hire charge includes a fully fitted kitchen with an industrial dishwasher, a bar area (unstocked and unattended) plus all necessary tables and chairs. There is a drop down screen but no projector. The room is light and airy and two sets of double patio doors give access to the playing field. A portable stage is available at no extra charge but the hirer is responsible for erecting and dismantling it and returning it to the storage shed at the side of the hall. Stage lighting and a sound system are also available.
The adjoining Bellamour Room is ideal for meetings or smaller events and can accommodate up to 30 people seated 'lecture style' or sixteen 'round the table'. There is direct access to the rest of the hall but the room also has its own entrance, tea making and toilet facilities. The Bellamour Room may be hired by itself or together with the main room if you require additional space to lay out a buffet for example.
The charming village of Colton is some two mile from Rugeley, and roughly midway between Stafford and Lichfield. Much of the village is a conservation area. There is a church which has Norman origins and excellent bed and breakfast accommodation is available in the village.
