About Romsey Mill
Romsey Mill is a multi-purpose centre designed with the community in mind. With meeting rooms, sports hall, creative arts, café-style room, kitchen and children's activity spaces, a wide range of events can be accommodated at competitive rates. A local community rate is also available.
The ground and first floors have full disabled access. The Community Hall is a brightly coloured and cheerful room, perfect for children's parties or social events. The community hall can accommodate up to 100 people and even a small bouncy castle. It includes kitchen facilities and en-suite children's toilets. Some play equipment can be supplied upon request. The Jordan Room is a spacious area suitable for meetings, parties or social gatherings for children and/or adults. With a kitchen area, and café-style tables and chairs the room will comfortably seat forty people. The Sports Hall is ideal for sports, performing arts, or entertainment events, this large space includes a sprung floor, high ceilings and excellent acoustics and ventilation. With a seating capacity of 175 it is also ideal for large public meetings and children's parties.
The Activities Room is adjacent to the sports hall. This fully equipped kitchen enables hirers to prepare refreshments. It can also be used for meetings or activity-based learning for small groups, seating around twelve people. We have two further meeting rooms on the first floor with full disabled access - the Rose Room which has a capacity of fifteen (classroom style) or ten (boardroom style) and has a hearing loop and the Phenna Room which can seat 18 (classroom style) or 14 (boardroom style) and has projector and interactive whiteboard facilities. The two rooms can be hired together as a suite for group sessions.
The Creative Arts on the second floor (without disabled access),is a relaxed space and is ideal for informal groups and for creative arts such as music and video. It could also be set up as a meeting room with a capacity of twenty (classroom style) or fourteen (boardroom style).
