Ross Street Community Centre is based in the heart of The Romsey Area, located just off Mill Road which is a bustling, multi-cultured high street, bursting at the seams with authentic cuisines from all over the world, charity shops you can find almost anything in, and a coffee shop every 5 yards!

Fortunately, our Centre is able to offer a small car park available to our users of the centre, for no charge...that's right! Free parking in Cambridge!

We also have designated disabled parking, Disabled access into the building with automatic doors and an easy access toilet.

Ross Street is managed by The Romsey Mill Trust on behalf of Cambridge City Council.  The Romsey Mill Trust is a charity that works closely with families, and young people in Cambridge. They provide essential support and programmes for young parents/parents-to-be, Children who have been diagnosed with autism, young people overcoming challenges in their lives, as well as other support. Money raised through our room hire at Ross Street Community Centre directly helps us to continue the outstanding work we currently deliver throughout Cambridgeshire.

We have 3 rooms available; 

-Our Main Hall which is approximately 11.6 X 7.3 Metres for up to 75 people.

This is a large open space with plenty of windows to allow the natural sunlight in, it is a very bright hall with a high wooden beamed ceiling. The hall also has benefits of a private kitchen fully equipped with all white goods available for your use at no extra cost. The room has its own toilets and baby changing area. The Main hall also has a portable projector and projector screen, free to use. 

-Our community Room which is approximately 10.2 X 6.1 Metres for up to 45 people.

Once again this is quite a large open space, with the added benefit of having an enclosed courtyard. It also comes equipped with a fitted Kitchen and safety gates to ensure no children can enter the kitchen. Private toilets just for this rooms use are also connected to the hall ensuring no children have to leave the room at any time. This Room works very well for children's birthday parties and is used during the week by our Preschool.

-Our Meeting Room which is approximately 4.9 X 4.8 Metres for up to 15 people.

This room is ideal for any type of formal meeting, counselling sessions, or small groups rehearsing acting scenes etc. It has a great splash of colour and access to a shared kitchen. You have the choice of using hard back plastic chairs of the comfort of padded meeting room chairs.

Availability and Hire Costs

Availability: We are available for hire 7 days a week from 8am until 10pm.

Hire Costs: We have different price bands depending on which kind of hirer you are (A charity/ A large Business/ Non-Profit baby class etc.) Local residents will receive discounted prices upon proof of address.
