Westgate Hall – A Centre for Canterbury - where village meets city
Discover Westgate Hall a beautifully refurbished landmark of Canterbury’s military history and a vibrant community venue in the heart of the city. Westgate Hall is the perfect backdrop to conferences,meetings, parties, fairs, weddings, music and community events.
We have a spacious catering kitchen and licensed bar and cater for anything from a small meeting to a large private party. We are next door to the Curzon cinema with parking nearby and a short walk from Canterbury West Station.
Our light-filled space harmonises Edwardian features with 21st-century energy efficient technology. We can accommodate 500 standing, 400 seated theatre-style, or 220 at tables.
We offer community and commercial rates of hire, ranging from £32.50 - £65 per hour. We’d love to hear from you if you have a project or event you would like to develop, whether individual, community or corporate.

Hire Costs: Full hall hire (excluding kitchen use) prices inc VAT Commercial rates of hire: Weekday Hourly rates from £55ph Weekend Hourly rates from £65ph One day wedding rates available from £950. Community rates of hire are also available eg. charities, fundraisers, local community groups: Weekday Hourly rates from £32.50ph Weekend Hourly rates from £42.50ph Small meeting room hire £25 per hour
