Availability and Hire Costs

Availability: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings. Kitchens. Available to hirers of the Beacon Hall or Green Room for no additional charge (unless professional caterers are employed when a fuel surcharge may be applied). Hirers must provide their own hand towels, tea towels and bin liners, remove any rubbish and leave rooms clean and tidy. Bar. The Centre has 2 fully licensed bars serving the Beacon Hall and the Skittle Alley. We can provide a full Bar Service in the Beacon Hall or Skittle Alley for any event. All drinks are sold at very competitive prices. We charge a fee of £30 to set up the bar. Licence Extensions. We can arrange extensions to normal licensing hours for special events if given one month’s notice. Hirers will have to pay the fee charged by Stroud District Council. Corkage Fees. Hirers are free to bring in their own alcoholic drinks, but must, for legal reasons, make arrangements through us as the licensee. We charge £8 corkage fee per 75ml bottles for events in the Beacon Hall or Skittle Alley (which have their own bars) or £5 in other areas of the building. Chairs and Tables. We do not charge for the use of any of our tables or chairs provided hirers put them out and clear them away. Provision of Tea/Coffee. We are happy to provide tea, coffee and biscuits if needed. This will be charged separately based on numbers. Setting Up and Cleaning. If you would prefer us to set up the rooms for you and to clean them up afterwards we can arrange this for you at a cost of £15 per hour. Wifi. There is wifi throughout the building. Public Address System, Lighting and Hearing Loop. There is a full public address system and hearing loop in the Beacon Hall. Special Lighting. The Hall is equipped with full theatre lighting to enhance any stage performance. There is a charge for the use of the AV/projection and/or lighting equipment. Parking. We have a limited number of car parking spaces that are available to all users of the hall on a first come first served basis. This does not entitle those attending an event to park for more than half an hour before the event unless they have to set up or prepare the event. There is plenty of public parking in the nearby car park in Stamages Lane (for a map showing this car park go to our website) Accessibility. We have two designated disabled parking spots. We have two separate toilets for disabled people. There is a stair lift to reach the Green and Cotswold Rooms on the first floor.
