About Great Horkesley Village Hall
Set upon the Village Green at Tile house Lane, Great Horkesley, and surrounded on three sides by acres of parkland, a more idyllic landscaped setting would be hard to find. The main room known as the John Appleby Hall is light, airy, and spacious. Suitable for most types of functions it can comfortably accommodate 100 people seated at tables, and 200 people in theatre style. Weather permitting, the John Appleby Hall has two sets of patio doors that open out onto a large patio suitable for a drinks reception or a breakout from the main function. This patio overlooks a children’s play area and views of the Village Green. A smaller room, The Braeburn Room is a comfortable venue for meetings of up to ten people seated boardroom-style, or twelve people seated lecture-style. A kitchen serves both rooms and there is a hatch opening onto the John Appleby Hall for easy transfer of refreshments and food to the table.
