Sudbury Rugby Club

Sudbury Rugby Club's function room is available to hire by anyone — you don't need to be a member, and you don't need to have anything to do with rugby. We're a five-minute drive from Sudbury town centre, on Spicer Way in Great Cornard, with a licensed bar, our own bar staff and free parking on site.

It's a straightforward, good-value room for a party rather than a hotel ballroom: a decent-sized space you can decorate how you like, a bar that isn't priced like a wedding venue, and plenty of room outside for people to spill into on a warm evening.

The room seats approx. 120 for a sit-down meal, or takes approx. 250 standing for a party.

Birthday parties

30ths, 40ths, 50ths, 60ths and up. Bring your own DJ or band, decorate the room on the day, and use our bar. (We can't take 18th birthdays.)

Wedding receptions

An informal reception or an evening do after the ceremony, with the bar, the room and the space to put up your own decorations.

Wakes and funeral receptions

A quiet, private room at short notice, with tea, coffee and sandwiches arranged if you'd like them. Call us and we'll make it easy.

Christenings and anniversaries

Daytime hire with the bar open, charged by the hour so you only pay for the time you need.

Meetings, training and AGMs

Hall-only daytime hire for local businesses, clubs and charities — a large room, parking and no minimum spend.

Christmas parties and club nights

Office parties, presentation evenings and fundraisers. December books up early, so ask well ahead.
