About Wilberfoss Community Centre
Wilberfoss is a thriving village 8 miles east of the beautiful city of York (which in 2018 topped the Sunday Times Best Place to Live in the UK list) and 5 miles from the thriving market town of Pocklington. With easy access straight off the A1079 York to Hull road, our well used Community Centre sits in the heart of the village and benefits from:-
FREE Wifi for all users
Level access and fully automatic entrances doors which offer easy access.
A wifi speaker system and acoustic sound boards throughout which offer superb sound quality. Even our curtains have acoustic properties!
Lightweight tables and chairs
A small meeting room and dedicated therapy/consultation room.
An enclosed, well-maintained garden with outdoor seating.
25 car parking spaces.
Moveable partition walls, which offer the flexibility to create 1, 2 or 3 rooms in our main hall.
A solid maple floor which is hardwearing and suitable for keep fit and dance groups.
A disabled toilet which also incorporates a baby changing station.
A large fully fitted kitchen to include cutlery, crockery, glassware, catering kettles, two fridges, flasks, a microwave and a built in oven and hob.
Built in 1999 and having benefitted from a floor and kitchen upgrade since then, our Community Centre has been described as one of the best in the county. We currently play host to KCMA Martial Arts Academy, Wilberfoss Table Tennis Club and Wilberfoss Short Mat Bowling Club, all of whom use the Centre for practice and competitive matches, a number of voluntary, community-led groups, keep fit classes, dance classes, art and craft classes, baby groups, a karate class, the local Parish Council and many more. Some of our groups have been with us since the Centre opened!
