Cherry Hinton Baptist Church Family Centre

The Family Centre is the church hall of Cherry Hinton Baptist Church, which is available for hire. It is at the corner of Fishers Lane and the High Street, post code CB1 9HR. There are two meeting rooms, a kitchen (with hatches to both rooms), a foyer and two toilets, one of which is wheelchair accessible. There is car parking for 7 vehicles.

The church allows the Family Centre to be used for charitable and community purposes within Cherry Hinton. It is open for activities which include meetings of clubs and societies, youth groups, dance groups, singing groups, training of adults and, tuition for children. It is available for children's parties and other celebrations but alcohol is not permitted on the premises.

Charges as of Jan 2026 are £14/hour for the Main Hall (7x8m – 3m high) , £8.50/hour for the Meeting Room (4x6m) and £21.00/hour for both rooms.

The Centre is available for hire daily from 8am to 10pm, unless it is already booked – see the diary on the website for details.

Parties

Parties, and similar social events, may be booked up to 7.30pm by non-regular users. 

Party booking times must end no later than 15 minutes before the next booking, if there is one in the calendar. (NB. Due to the number of regular groups meeting in term time, there is likely to be more availability during school holidays).

Hirers must allow enough time within their booking period to set up and clear up as required. We recommend allowing a minimum of 30 minutes clear-up time after guests leave. Clearing includes stacking furniture, tidying and cleaning, washing up and dealing with any rubbish.

All party bookings must meet our terms and conditions. Please note in particular:

No alcohol is allowed on the premises.

Children must be adequately supervised by responsible adults at all times, particularly in the kitchen and car park areas.

Rates (at Jan 2026) for parties are: 

        Meeting Room - £12.50 per hour

        Main Hall - £18.00 per hour

        Both rooms - £25.00 per hour

Once a provisional booking has been agreed, we ask for payment within 4 days, either by bank transfer or cash, to make the booking firm.
