Silchester Village Hall 
The village of Silchester, which is best known for the nationally important remains of the large walled Roman Town of Calleva Atrebatum, is situated in the Local District Authority of Basingstoke and Deane and lies roughly at the centre of a triangle comprising the towns of Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke.

Although Silchester is essentially rural, it has excellent road links and is conveniently situated for access from a wide area within North Hampshire and West Berkshire.

The Village Hall which is situated close to the centre of Silchester village opposite the cricket/football pitches and across the road from the Calleva Arms public house, has provided the focus for many activities and functions for the past 100 years.

Facilities 

The Main Hall 
The Main Hall is 37’x26’ and can accommodate up to 110 people theatre style or 80 people seated at tables, with chairs and tables available for these numbers.

There is a stage at one end and a balcony/gallery at the other, which adds greatly to the character of the room.

Toilets are available off the main hall and disabled toilets/baby changing facilities are off the foyer. A linking corridor provides access to the Club room if you need to hire both areas.

Club Room
The club room is 33’x19’ and can accommodate up to 50 people. It has its own separate entrance and toilets and shares the kitchen with the main hall.
Ideal for small events or meetings! 

Kitchen
Our new kitchen shared by the main hall and the club room has been installed featuring a 5-ring hob, dual ovens and a commercial glass dishwasher. 

Outside
The Village Hall has its own car park, which can accommodate up to 20 cars, although there is plenty of parking next to the playing field if necessary.
There is a small grassy area to the sides and rear of the building, which can be accessed by users if required.
This area is gated to make it relatively secure for children.

6.00pm – Midnight | £18 per hour

Club Room

9.00am-6.00pm Monday-Sunday | £11 per hour
6.00pm – Midnight | £13 per hour

• Hall fees must be paid for all the time the hall is in use,
  including set up and clean up times to the nearest 30 minutes
