The Venue is Caterbury’s biggest nightclub, located centrally in the University of Kent campus.

The Venue is a multi-room, multi-purpose event space suitable for every occasion. This space can be hired for parties, gigs, award ceremonies, corporate events, exhibitions, conferences and much more.

Featuring a large room with a built-in stage, state-of-the-art sound & lighting, multiple bars, cloakroom, photobooth and on-site parking, we can provide bespoke hire packages. 

The Venue is extremely versatile and has hosted many different types of events. From award ceremonies to conferences, talent shows, assessment centres, corporate parties, vintage clothes markets, live sport viewing parties and even laser tag, our space can shapeshift into anything you want it to be.

Boasting two fully licensed bars and an outdoor shots bar, as well as a built in stage and dancefloor, no event is too big or too small for this space.

When you book The Venue for night time events, additional staffing charges may apply (including bar staff and a Duty Manager, as well as door security if necessary) to make sure your special day goes as smoothly as possible. Food and drinks packages are available upon request to suit all catering needs.

Availability and Hire Costs

Availability: Our venues are heavily used by our students during term-time, which means availability on certain days (particularly weekdays) may be limited. Please do enquire and we will get back to you with suitable dates. Bookings are made on a first-come-first-served basis and entire venue bookings are easier to secure during the Winter and Summer breaks (December and June-September).

Hire Costs: Full day - £650 + VAT. Half day - £500 + VAT. These prices are for the room hire only. If you require staff to work the bar, wait on guests or security, these will come at an additional cost. Similarly, tech equipment such as our AV system, microphones, stage, etc. are also charged extra.
